The Baseload Market Reference Price (BMRP) for winter 2016, which covers October 2016 to March 2017, is 43.67 £/MWh.

BMRP is used to calculate CFD payments for baseload Generators. When the BMRP is below a pre-agreed £/MWh value (Strike Price), as set out in a CFD Generator’s contract, top-up payments are made by Low Carbon Contracts Company (LCCC) to the CFD Generator to make up the difference between the BMRP and the Strike Price. When the BMRP is above the Strike Price, the CFD Generator pays LCCC the difference.

The BMRP and IMRP are now available on the Settlement Data page of the EMRS website.
